Tucker Morris, Korey Meier, & Courtney Naylor were all INCREDIBLY close to breaking into finals. There were 18 schools, with several from the Wichita area. The team got a solid 10th place! But we’re very close with 9th-6th places.
Head Coach Hirsch and assistant Coach Rookstool are absolutely ecstatic with results from the first tournament. “The progress we made at our very first tournament is incredible. This season is only going to get bigger and better!!”
Next tournament is February 4th at Newton; 14 events, 13 students. Go Railers!!!

HMS January Student of the Month
The middle school staff members chose 8th grader, Winter Amoyan as the January Student of the Month. Winter participates in the gifted program, quiz bowl, archery and the art program. Winter isn’t exactly sure why she was chosen, but she thinks the main reason is her academics. Winter feels that she is able to work with people on projects and keeps her grade up during times when she is stressed. When things get hard for Winter, she tries to keep a “Growing Mindset.” Winter is the daughter of Joel and Meg Amoyan.
