HES students are invited to participate in spirit days next week as part of the Homecoming Week activities. Participation each day is optional.
Spirit Days are as follows:
Monday, Jan. 22 - Country vs. City –Dress like you’re from the country or the big city.
Tuesday, Jan. 23 - Favorite Color Day – Wear your favorite color from head to toe.
Wednesday, Jan. 24 - Hat Day - Pick your favorite hat to wear.
Thursday, Jan. 25 - Favorite Sports Team Day – Dress in your favorite sports team’s gear.
Friday, Jan. 26 - Railer Day – Show your Railer Pride with Railer gear, maroon, and/or orange.
The HES Literacy Night that was scheduled for Friday has been postponed until Feb. 9. Literacy Night will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the elementary school. It will be followed by the friendship dance beginning at 6:45. We hope you will be able to join us for these events.

HES fifth grade students in Mrs. Beames’s class learned about the solar system and then created a model of the planets. #LevelUpRailers
Herington teachers attended TEEN Mashup Inservice on Monday. Many of the teachers presented and a couple of teachers were able to tour local manufacturing facilities. It was a cold day but the teachers powered through and had a great day of collaboration.
Congratulations to the HHS Wrestlers placing 9th at the Halstead tournament. Reid Griffiths and Cameron Svitak 1st place, Peyton Taylor 2nd place, Trent Nuss 4th place, Ethan Urbanek, Colton Gehrke and Caleb Darrow 5th place. Great job HHS wrestlers and coaches!!

Congratulations to our HHS Wrestling Team for placing 9th out of 17 teams this past weekend. Individuals placing were Reid Griffiths 1st, Cameron Svitak 2nd and Peyton Taylor 5th. A special thank you to all that made this home tournament a huge success!!
