Kindergarteners in Mrs. Kahle's reading group retold the story of "We're Going on a Bearhunt" today. They have been learning about character and setting. In order to help understand these story elements, each group chose an animal, researched the animal's habitat and created pictures of the habitats and characters. Today, they used that learning to take their audience on a hunt to find their animals. #growinglearners

The middle school staff members chose 8th grader, Trenton Braucher, as the January Student of the Month. Trenton has participated in football,
wrestling, and track while attending Herington Middle School. Trenton believes the staff chose him as student of the month because he works hard to get his homework done, he uses his time wisely in class, he is willing to help other students and he is involved in school activities. Trenton is the son of Tonya Braucher. Written by Amanda Hawkins
