From beginning to end, fifth graders researched volcanoes and then made models to replicate volcanic eruptions. #growinglearners

Our Family Literacy Night is scheduled from 6:00-8:00 tomorrow (4/26) evening and is free of charge so please plan on attending that. Continue to send in items for flood victims in Iowa through next Wednesday, May 1st to meet our goal of having Mrs. Knopp and Mr. Morgan kiss a pig and/or color their hair. Finally, the color run is scheduled for May 15th at 6:30 and is free of charge. Thanks for all your support!
Mrs. Gutsch’s third grade students learned about the life cycle with Mexican jumping beans! The students explained that the mother moth laid eggs in the seed pods and these seed pods have hardened since last September. During this time in the seed pod, the eggs have developed into larvae. This larvae has now dug its way out of the seed pod and formed a chrysalis. Finally, the larvae sheds the chrysalis and out comes a moth! Complete metamorphosis! #growinglearners
Business Communications students worked on teamwork and problem solving by creating a safe package for an egg.
Herington Middle School students received their middle school shirts today (Thursday) and we are asking them to wear their shirts on Friday, April 26th so we can take class and all school pictures! Written by Amanda Hawkins
