Monday, November 18th - MS Basketball Game will be played at Goessel instead of Herington. Game Time is 4:30.
[Stage] Improvisation at its finest! HHS Drama will be putting in overtime to prepare for the play next weekend. We hope to see you there -- Tickets can be purchased at the Community Building on Friday and Saturday! Showtime is at 7 PM. Adult tickets $10, USD 487 Students $5
Middle School dove into some civic engagement with a debate and election over the past week! Middle School student participated in a debate between our two presidential candidates (Kansas State University and University of Kansas). The presidential candidate for KSU with Mr. Lingenfelser and his running mate Coach Hommann and the KU had Mr. Biehler with his running mate Coach Warta. Students were able to submit questions that would be used during the debate. On Tuesday, November 5, students voted during their history hour. They signed in, received a ballot, voted and then received a “I Voted” sticker. Results were posted on a bulletin board!
Mrs Beye and FBLA Chapter Officers are spending a couple days in Columbus Ohio at the National Fall FBLA Leadership Conference. Those attending with Mrs Beye are Aidan Thibodeau, Mallory Arnold, Henry Nelson, Isabelle Ecklund and Koryn Alexander. Aidan, Mallory and Isabell are also representing Kansas as State Officers.
A recent science activity for second graders was to create hats to keep the sun and rain off of them. #RailerRewind

Breaking 30 year old records!
Leslyn Kremeier, Senior added her name to the record boards this past season and over her career at Herington High School.
The single season records broke were aces which replaced a record set in 1993 by Sara Peterson. She also broke her own season record for serve receives.
Career Records broke were serve receives and digs which she currently held. She again broke Sara Peterson's 30 year old records in serves and aces.
Congratulations Leslyn on leaving your legacy on Herington Volleyball.
Thank you to EVCO whom came in for a small group of HS students to do some food tasting. Thank You Stephanie Stover for organizing this for our students.
Shaylynn Scarff and Mariah Kossmann participated in the Wheat State League Honors Choir. The event was held in Sams Chapel on the Kansas Wesleyan University campus.
Mr. Hinkle’s CPO class got to meet with HPD officers and discuss the force continuum and have a nice Q & A session with them! Big thank you to HPD for coming out!

Today the Class of 2027 attended a career expo at the Kansas State Fairground. The ESSDACK Career Planning Expo is the largest college & career planning event in Kansas, showcasing career opportunities from two-year and four-year college degrees, industry certifications, apprenticeships, military opportunities, and business partners.
Middle School Basketball Practice scheduled for today has been canceled!!! Students will dismiss at 3:25pm to load the bus or to be picked up by family.
