The HES November student of the month is Amanda Johnson – fourth grade student in Mrs. Brunner’s class. Amanda has had such a positive and confident attitude this month! She has completely passed XTRA Math and is working so hard in math class. She is constantly finding new books to read; we have increased her AR goal four times this quarter because she keeps passing it. She's persevering to fulfill her goals and we couldn't be prouder of her hard work! In her interaction with her peers, she is encouraging and kind. We really appreciate that we can trust her to work with anyone in our class and she will be respectful to them and will be responsible for getting her work done well. She's had a stellar month and we are excited to see her continue to grow and be a role model to her peers. Amanda is the daughter of Andrew and Samantha Ellsworth.
Bus #5 will run late again tomorrow morning, Wednesday December 14th. Students riding bus #5 will also arrive home approximately 30 minutes later than usual tomorrow afternoon.
HHS students spent two weeks collecting non-perishable items for the local FRE. Sponsored by NHS (National Honor Society), HHS collected 744 items! This is the most we've collected in many years -- good job to all classes!
Due to a bus driver shortage, students who ride Bus #5 will be picked up 30 minutes later than their usual morning pick up tomorrow, Tuesday December 13th.
Archery will have their first competition in Chapman this Saturday.
