Lady Railers picked up two more wins at Solomon beating Douglas 25-17, 25-19 and Solomon 25-5, 25-13. These wins move the Lady Railers to a 13-0 record. Nice job Lady Rails.
Middle School Volleyball had a great night sweeping Bennington! A-team won 27-25, 25-8. B-team won 25-16, 25-18. C-team won 25-22, 34-32. Great job ladies!

Good afternoon, this is call is to inform you that the Herington Schools COVID-19 team has determined that U S D 487 may continue to operate in the “green”. This means that preschool through 12th grade students may attend in person for the next week. Based on the recent developments surrounding COVID-19 in other parts of Dickinson County, the COVID-19 team will begin meeting on a weekly basis.

HES, in conjunction with the Central Kansas Cooperative in Education, is in need of an additional paraprofessional to help support our Little Railers preschool program. The starting wage is $10.56 per hour (if candidate is highly qualified). The Little Railers preschool program is Monday-Thursday from 8:00-3:30. The presentations will be exactly the same, just one presented in English (6:30) and the other presented in Spanish (7:30).

Attendees will need to register in advance at emporia.edu/live. Approximately halfway down the page, they will find a green box titled Financial Aid, and the Register Now links. Once registered, a link will be emailed to them which they will use to access the live presentation at the appropriate time. Participants are encouraged to submit questions in advance and will also have the opportunity to submit questions during the live event. The presentations will be recorded and available later to those unable to attend.
Please express to your students and families that while the registration takes place through ESU, and the presentations are conducted by ESU Financial Aid professionals, the presentations are neutral and the information presented will be applicable at any post-secondary institution they are considering.

Congratulations to Christopher Kowalsky who placed in the top 15 for the North Central District Greenhand Exam. There is 28 schools within the district with almost 220 competitors for this competition. Good job Chris!
