Remote learner meals may be picked up curbside in front of the Herington Elementary School at the following times: Elementary School Student Pick up 11:15-12:15pm Middle/High School Student Pick up 12:30-1:00pm. If you have students in elementary and middle/high, you may pick them all up during the elementary time slot. Please have responses in by 9am. When you arrive, please stay in your vehicle and staff members will deliver the meals to you. Thank you!

COLD WEATHER ANNOUNCEMENT Due to predicted windchill temperatures in a dangerous range, USD 487 will have remote learning days on Friday February 12th and Monday February 15th. All students will need to join their classes via technology on those days. Meals will be available. Please use the Remote Learner meals Form pinned to the top of our district's Facebook page, or contact your student's school to request meals. We require that all meal requests be made prior to 9 a.m. in order to receive a meal that same day.

Today at the High School we had Derek Knopp come and speak about Teen Mental Health. FCCLA hosted him for our Mental Health Day for FCCLA Week. Anxiety, Depression and Suicide were topics covered on how to identify, cope and assist with anyone whom may be struggling with those topics.

HES Families: Reminder that tomorrow (Wednesday, February 10th) is our 100th day of school. Students are welcome to dress up in any attire that makes them look like they are 100 years old for our spirit day! Also, it is very important that students wear a heavy coat to school with the frigid temperatures. If you need a hat, gloves, scarf, coat, jacket, or any other cold gear please reach out to the office (785-258-3234) and we will work together to make sure we are keeping all of our HES Railer students warm this week!
