Tuesday-"Adam Sandler Didn't Use Drugs or Alcohol, So You Shouldn't Either" Dress like Adam Sandler Day
Wednesday-"Each Generation of Your Life is Important; Don't Let Drugs or Alcohol Affect That" Generation Day-6th Grade-Babies; 7th Grade-Adult; 8th Grade-Senior Citizen
Thursday-"Your Teachers Care About You; Don't Use Drugs or Alcohol" Students Dress as Teachers/Teachers Dress as Students
Friday-"No One Fights Alone" Pink Out Day

Monday - "Follow Your Dreams - Live Drug Free" (Wear Pajamas)
Tuesday - "Count On Me To Be Drug Free" (Wear a Jersey/Shirt with a Number on it)
Wednesday - "Tip Your Hat To Being Drug Free" (Wear a Hat)
Thursday - "No Prob-llama - I'm Drugg Free" (Wear a Shirt with an Animal on it)
Friday - "Don't be Tricked, Drugs Are No Treat" (Wear Fall Colors - Orange, Black, Purple, etc.)
We will have a school wide costume parade in the HES gym at 2:30. The October All School Assembly will follow the parade and begin approximately between 2:45-3:00. Please call the school if your student needs a costume and if you have any questions about costume guidelines, parade details, or the all school assembly. #backontrack

Senior English students have been enjoying a unit on oral tradition and each told a famous urban legend. Mr. Fox joined in on the fun and told the students his personal encounter with the kushtaka -- mischievous shape-shifting being from Alaska.
Herington High School - September Student of the Month - Tristyn Kremeier
Tristyn Kremeier is the daughter of Chris and Christine Kremeier.
Tristyn believes she was chosen because “I feel I got chosen as Student of the Month because I have a very strong work ethic. I always push myself to do my best not only in the classroom but on the court as well”.
Tristyn is a senior at Herington High School, who involves herself in; volleyball, basketball, track, FCCLA, HOSA, SALT, FBLA, NHS, drama club, and pep band.
Mrs. Beye believes “Tristyn was chosen for Student of the Month because she works very hard in the classroom, on the sports fields, in organizations and in life. She goes above and beyond what is needed to be a successful person in all she does.”

Congratulations to the HES September student of the month, Emmett Moeller, second grade student in Mrs. Meyer’s class! Emmett is such a hard working student. He tries his best with his work.
