Yesterday, the HHS forensics team went to Burlington for an evening tournament. And what a successful one it was!! Herington ended up taking 2nd place as a team!! The team also got 5 new events qualified for forensics state champs in May! Bringing the total to six. The following brought home medals: Logan Diekmann - 1st in Impromptu * Jameson Davis - 2nd in Impromptu* Kira Carver - 6th in Impromptu Logan Diekmann & Jessica Mascareno - 2nd in Duet** Courtney Naylor & Hanne McDermott - 7th in Duet Jameson Davis - 2nd in Prose* Courtney Naylor & Jade Ottens - 1st in I.D.A.* Logan Diekmann & Jessica Mascareno - 5th in I.D.A. Avery Monnington - 2nd in Poetry* Kira Carver - 4th in Serious Solo Aidan Thibodeau - 4th in Informative *Newly State Qualified **Previously state qualified Coach Hirsch is incredibly proud of the team. “Last night was one of the proudest moments I have been in my career. One student tried this for the first time; they are naturally shy but came out of their shell and performed fantastically! The kids gave it all and showed that the HHS Forensics team is a force to be reckoned with the more we work and grow together as a team.” Coach Hirsch would also like to thank Miss Rookstool for being a judge and a HUGE thanks for Mr. Graham for last minute driving a bus so the team could travel to Burlington. The team travels to Moundridge on March 5th. Go Railers!!
