District Data Management and Technology Coordinator
Herington USD 487 is accepting applications for a District Data Management and Technology Coordinator. The job requires a solid understanding of data entry with the persistence to keep information current. The job also requires a variety of technology skills with an openness to constant learning. This is a full-time wage position. Applications may be obtained and returned to the Board of Education office, 19 N. Broadway. Deadline for application submissions is May 14th. EOE

Herington USD 487 is accepting applications for an Elementary Secretary/Aide position. You would be considered a full-time, nine-month employee (approximately 8 hours per day). The middle school staff members chose 8th grader, Joshua Delgado, as the April Student of the Month. Josh participates in Vocal, Football, Track, Baseball, Weightlifting, and Basketball. Josh feels that he was chosen as the April student of the month because he focuses on his assignments, stays on tasks and helps other students and teachers out. Josh is the son of Laurie and Glen Mahood.
Congratulations to Carrie Roe!! She broke the school record for the girls discus with a throw of 125' 7" at the St. Mary's meet. The previous record was set in 1979 by Marilynn Weber with a throw of 119' 5.5".
Middle School cookie dough orders will be here Wednesday, May 5th after 2:00 PM. If your student sold more than for tubs of cookie dough, they will need to make arrangements to have someone pick up the cookie dough between 2:00 and 3:30 PM as it needs to be kept frozen. If there are any questions, please contact Ms. Hawkins at the Middle School.
